About the programme

Support people through real-time written communication.

The programme is designed for suitable trainees who can work responsibly within clinical, professional and safeguarding requirements.

Volunteers provide text-based crisis support to people of all ages, including children and young people. The role requires calm communication, clear boundaries and the ability to respond appropriately to safeguarding concerns.

The application starts with mandatory eligibility questions. Applicants who do not meet the pathway, UK volunteering, regulated-activity or time-commitment requirements will not be able to continue.

Please answer every question accurately. Where an answer needs further discussion, the recruitment team may ask for more information during the next recruitment stage.
